WHAM Theatre Schools – Medway & Swale

WHAM Theatre Schools is offering an established franchise resale opportunity in Medway & Swale, Kent. The territory was launched in 2022 and currently has approximately 30 students across three weekly classes, delivering 60-minute musical theatre sessions combining dance, singing and acting. Established venues are already in place, and existing teaching support is available to help with a smooth transition. As of September, there are trials booked in due to the return of the School Term. The territory has been overseen remotely from the WHAM Theatre Schools HQ, alongside the wider operation of WHAM Theatre Schools. This has allowed the classes to continue, but has limited the time available for local development. A committed local Principal & Franchise Owner would therefore have the opportunity to take the existing school forward and develop it back to its full potential. SPECIFIC GROWTH ROUTES INCLUDE: Working with Medway Youth Services Re-starting HAF scheme activity Re-opening classes at former venues Introducing additional weekly classes Increasing local enrolments Developing further community and venue partnerships These opportunities require a committed local Principal & Franchise Owner who can lead the school day to day. Introductions to relevant contacts and local development opportunities can be provided as part of the handover. The usual £1,995 initial franchise fee has been waived. The setup fee is £495, with instalments considered. This covers the territory transfer, Principal training, student handover and initial support. Starter merchandise and branded resources are also included. The ongoing franchise fee is 10% of monthly gross revenue, subject to a minimum of £175 per month, plus one 2.5% marketing levy. The expected commitment is approximately 8 to 10 hours per week, depending on the Principal’s involvement in teaching and local development. WHAM provides onboarding, a class management CRM, safeguarding and compliance support, branding resources, digital systems, operational guidance and ongoing Head Office support. WHAM Theatre Schools holds BFA Emerging membership with the British Franchise Association and is a full member of the Quality Franchise Association.
