CUPP Bubble Tea first launched in the UK in Bristol in 2012. Its owners, having moved from bubble tea’s origin country Taiwan in 2009, saw a gap in the market and the potential it offered. CUPP saw life attending music shows and events as a van based business model, soon followed by selling bubble tea from a converted shipping container! Continuing to use the van to attend events, CUPP’s early life in business illustrated the demand for bubble tea very well. Obviously earnings from a kiosk unit will vary compared to a retail store unit but with an average transaction value of £4.20 and 200 transactions a day, this is an average of £840 per day.
