Reap the Rewards with a High End Franchise
From high end fast food franchises to fully established franchise resale businesses, high end franchises enable you to enter the world of business ownership with a lucrative, profitable business model.
What is Franchising?
Franchising is a method of business expansion where the owner of a brand licenses out the rights to trade to a third party. This license typically includes rights to use the brand name, access to partners and suppliers, plus full training and support from the franchisor.
Similarly to starting up a business of your own, you’ll need to part with some cash! Familiarly known within franchising as the “investment” (because you’ll break even once trading, plus make the investment (and hopefully more!) back once you decide to sell the business later in life), the investment includes everything you need to launch the business. Yes the investment may sound big, but you’re also paying for an established, recognised, trustworthy brand which already has trading franchisees across the country. Let’s not forget the amount of money you could potentially waste attempting a startup business. Everyone makes mistakes, but with franchising, many of these have already been made and learnt from – so you don’t make them!
What are High End Franchises?
High end franchises broadly cover high investment, high returns opportunities. Whilst big fast food franchises like McDonalds are considered high end due to their large investment, strong brand and huge turnover potential, turnkey businesses like resales are also high end too. With franchise resales, a fully established, trading from day one business can cost anywhere from £50,000 to six or even seven figures. These high end franchises are fantastic for those that are looking to take control of a proven, recognised and established franchise unit.
Are High End Franchises Profitable?
High End Franchises are profitable, just like any other business, assuming you make the effort to see it to success! Regardless of how many franchisees a network has, the success will very much be up to you, but it is also the responsibility of the franchisor to ensure the business model is sound even before franchising. It’s a good idea to speak with a franchise consultant when carrying out due diligence, and shortlisting your potential opportunities. Make the time to attend a discovery day too so you can meet the franchisor.
How Much Do High End Franchises Cost?
Many high end franchises will cost over £100,000. That includes resales – franchise units where the franchisee is looking to sell the territory and business (along with its clients) and move on. Franchise resales can cost anywhere from £35,000 up to £400,000, often more for big name brands. The benefit of these is that you’re getting cashflow from day one.
Franchises like KFC and McDonalds, as you’d expect, have much greater license fees due to the widely reknown brand name and history of success. These businesses generally only recruit high worth franchisees and companies, but that doesn’t mean franchising is out of reach. Many banks and lenders can help with finance for those higher cost franchises.
